Update - Back in Bluefields - 07.05.08

Continued from previous page . . .

We are working with some of the young people from several churches who have taken it on their own to create an organization called "Jovenes en Accion" (Youth in Action).

They have done youth outreach events in the past only to have the pastors accuse them of "illegal activities."

We have encouraged them to be respectful, but to let these pastors know that they need to follow God's leading in their lives first. We encouraged them to be supportive of their churches, which they will do.

We would like to put together little care packages that they can distribute to patients in the hospital. We can put Gospels of John and some soda cakes and tracts and other goodies. Dennis will distribute them all day long. A church donated a desk to them. I was shocked when I first saw it, but to Dennis, it is a gift from God and we will repair it and make a good desk. You can see his "office" at the hospital in the photo gallery.

The house is coming along nicely. The guys have poured the floor in most of the first floor.

Right now we are working on putting the stucco over the concrete walls on the interior so that we have a nice smooth surface. It really looks nice. I am working on pulling all the electrical wires.

The walls on the second floor are about half up, but we have been in the middle of heavy rains (it is rainy season here for at least another month), so the guys are working on the first floor. We are going to try to finish out the living quarters on the first floor as soon as possible so we can get moved in .

The dogs are adjusting pretty well. Princess (our older dog) isgetting used to Mattie (our new puppy).Princess has started to play with the puppy. She will take her rawhide and tease the little puppy and they will start chasing each other around. You can see more dog pictures in the photo gallery.

Mattie is half lab and half pit bull, so she has a mind of her own.

Once again we want to say "Thank You" to everyone who helped us in so many ways during our visit to the US.

Please pray that our container will arrive soon and safe and sound.

God bless you all,

Tim and Kim
