Our Budget

Here is a breakdown of the expenses related to our ministry.

Operating this building is our largest expense, but it makes all the difference because it gives churches a resource they never had.

Young people become ministry teams in their music classes. Pastors and leaders learn to study and teach the Bible. Students can do research using our computer lab. We can host neighborhood events in our cafe, which is not yet finished.

The bright side is that the building and all the equipment is paid for in full and that keeps the expenses down some.

Our Personnel . . .

Alfred is our caretaker. He does all the maintenance on the building and is finishing the painting and a myriad of other projects. He is here every day and watches things as students come and go.

Leticia is our housekeeper. She and Kim cook one meal for us and our frequent guests during the day, Mon - Sat.

She also cleans the building, bakes bread and makes juice and helps us buy groceries (no mean feat). She stays here at night and on weekends when we are gone.

Other than that, we do our own cooking and all our own laundry.

These jobs (which pay about $50 per week) enable them to support their families. We also pay two music teachers and a security person on Sunday so we can go to church.

It might seem like a luxury having a staff here, but we could not even leave the house if we did not have these faithful helpers.

Theft is so rampant in this city that we must have someone here in the building every minute of every day, even (and especially) when we go away to the US or go to Corn Island to minister.

We actually had to pay our welder to weld padlocked cages over the gas tank and the battery compartment on the truck to keep those from being stolen.

Cost Breakdown . . .

Here is a monthly breakdown of costs:

Personnel
$750.00
All Utilities
$200.00
Supplies and Equipment
$250.00
Travel
$400.00
Vehicle
$75.00
Total ministry expenses
$1675.00

In addition to this, we have our standard personal expenses, like food, clothing, insurance, cell phones, and a home in the US which we cannot sell in this current market.

Here is the plan . . .

Our goal is to raise money for ministry expenses and earn enough at web development or some other work to pay for our personal expenses.

If we are forced to come back to the US to work, the money would continue to be invested in the ministry here, but we are not going to even think about that right now.

Please be in prayer for us and we appreciate anything you can do to help this ministry as we move forward. Our God is over all and he will cause His will to take place.

If you are able to make a monthly donation, please let us know this so we can have a better idea of what we can count on.

We appreciate your generosity.

Tim and Kim Mott

P.S. If you would like for us to come and speak to your church or group. let us know and we will find a way to get there.
